DAYLIGHT

Daylight was conceived in response to Ingenuity, the theme for alt.material 4.

A prompt emerged:
How can design bring us closer in moments of distance?
How can objects support a sense of calm, reassurance, and well-being?

Developed during a period of isolation, Daylight explores the idea of bringing the outside in, creating a subtle shift in atmosphere that supports both clarity and creative energy.

The piece is a sculptural, frosted glass lamp, centred around a floating 6500K full-spectrum globe. It emits a light that closely mirrors natural daylight, soft, even, and familiar.
